Mission Statement
As your Town Administrator, it is my job to oversee the day to day operations of all Town Departments and services for the Citizens of Derry.  In Derry, our form of government is governed by a Town Charter that was originally enacted by the citizens in 1984, which changes took effect several times since then.  The Town Charter has been amended by the voters - several times over the past twenty five years.

In our form of government, the seven members of the Town Council are elected by the voters and serve as the chief policy making board of the Town of Derry. The members of the Town Council appoint a Town Administrator, based solely upon his/her professional qualifications. As your Town Administrator I serve at the pleasure of the Town Council, and am directed to carry out policy decisions of the Town Council, keeping the Town Council and the public informed of the Town?s present and future needs.  I am also charged with providing updates on current operations and conditions and provide guidance and suggestions to the Town Council. As your Town Administrator I take part in all discussions of the Town Council - but act in a non-voting, advisory capacity.

I am very pleased to have been selected to be a part of this excellent organization - that is represented by an excellent staff and I promise you that I will work diligently along with the members of the Council and our town staff to continue to improve Derry as a great place to live - raise a family, work, relax and enjoy. I have served in municipal government for the last twenty years and bring a host of federal, state and local experience to this position.  I look forward to working for you and with you in the months and years to come.

I would encourage you to take full advantage of our very informative and user friendly Municipal Web Site. For those of you who are map people you will particularly like our latest feature which is our Geographic Information System program. Through this feature you can research any geographic feature of the Town including topography, aerial maps, utilities, individual properties and many other features. It?s fun and easy to use. While you?re here give it a try along with the other great features and come back and visit us - as often as you like!

If you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to contact us and we will do our best to respond promptly.  You will find contact links on each department?s web pages.  If you have additional questions or concerns that are not answered by the appropriate department, feel free to use or you can call 603-432-6100.

Thank you for taking the time to visit the Town of Derry?s electronic information resource.
